- Step beams in standard lengths, or custom
- Uses a deep-reach forklift and LIFO stock rotation

- Upright frames: 8 to 16 ft heights, 24 to 48 in depths
- Step beam lengths: 96 in, 108 in, 120 in, 144 in or custom
- Storage depth: 2-deep or 3-deep
- Selectivity: about 50% of pallets directly accessible at 2 deep, about 33% at 3 deep
- 3-deep systems need careful load planning and stricter LIFO control
