Impact Protection

Corner and Edge Protection

These are the parts that take the hit so the rack upright, the doorframe or the load does not. The range here runs from foam and PVC sleeves that slip over posts, corners and cable runs, through polyethylene wall protectors and surface guards, up to 1/4 in. steel corner guards with a 5 in. arm projection for dock and traffic areas.

Match the guard to what is hitting it. Foam and PVC handle incidental contact from carts, pallet jacks and hand traffic, and edge guards under cargo straps keep webbing off the corner of a crate or carton. Steel is what goes in front of a forklift. Stainless holds up in areas that get cleaned frequently, and the safety coated 90 degree guards add a visible edge on standard outside corners.

Most of these get ordered by the corner. Count the uprights, doorframes, wall runs and machine corners taking damage now and protect those first. If you are not sure which profile fits, tell us the location and what is hitting it.

Where These Go

Common Uses

Where These Go

Rack uprights at aisle ends and dock corners take the most abuse, followed by doorframes, corridor walls, and the corners of packing benches and machine bases. Foam and PVC sleeves go on posts and shelving, polyethylene wall protectors cover the corridor runs, and steel guards go where a loaded forklift can reach.

Edge guards for cargo straps, crates and cartons are a shipping item rather than a building one. They sit between the strap and the freight so the strap load spreads across the corner instead of cutting into it.
