Pushback Rack for LIFO Pallet Storage

This pushback rack is a high-density pallet storage system for warehouses running Last-In, First-Out (LIFO) inventory. It stores pallets 2 to 5 deep and, unlike drive-in systems, gives independent access to every lane.

Pallets are placed by forklift on nested carts that ride on inclined rails. Each pallet is pushed back by the loading of the next one, which exposes the next cart. During unloading, the front pallet is removed and the carts behind it roll gently to the front. The carts and the racking are manufactured together, and the system gives drivers a large target area. The design provides up to 90% more storage capacity than standard selective racking while requiring fewer aisles and forklifts.
