Tire & Body Panel Racks

Racks that get tires, bumper covers, and sheet stock off the floor and into order.

Tire & Panel Racks

Tire Racks and Body Panel Storage for Dealers and Body Shops

Tires and body panels are the awkward inventory in any automotive operation. Tires stacked on the floor take up bay space and get damaged in the pile, and bumper covers leaned against a wall get scratched before they are ever painted. Dedicated racks give each one a place, sized to the item.

This collection covers single-entry tire racks, a builder for full tire storage runs, an automated tire carousel, a wall-mounted bumper cover rack, and racks for sheet goods and long stock used in body and fabrication work.

Sizing

Start With How Many Tires, and How High

A tire rack is sized by tire count, tire size, and the height you can use. The single-entry rack holds three tire levels in an 84 inch tall, 60 inch wide, 12 inch deep unit, and the tires rest on an angle beam so they do not roll off. For a full seasonal storage program, the tire rack builder uses teardrop-style frames in 8, 12, and 16 foot heights with beams from 42 to 144 inches.

Where floor space is the limit, a vertical tire carousel stores tires overhead and brings them down to a pick window. Tell us your tire count, the mix of passenger and light truck tires, and your ceiling height, and we will size the rack or carousel to fit.

Applications

What These Racks Store

Seasonal Tire Storage

Customer tire storage and seasonal changeovers, on rack runs sized to your tire count, or in a carousel where floor space is short.

Bumper Covers

A wall-mounted rack with six pairs of bumper supports keeps covers off the floor and apart from each other until they go on the car.

Sheet and Long Stock

Horizontal and vertical sheet racks and A-frame racks hold sheet metal, panels, pipe, and conduit for body and fabrication work.

Why Rack It

What Getting It Off the Floor Solves

Bay Space Back

Tires and panels on the floor take space a vehicle or a technician should be using. Racks move that stock up and out of the way.

Less Damage

Tires resting on an angle beam and covers hung on their own supports are not crushed, scuffed, or scratched in a pile.

Faster Retrieval

Every tire set or cover has a location, so the right one comes off the rack without unstacking the wrong ones first.

Send us your tire count, tire sizes, and ceiling height.

We will size the tire racks, carousel, or panel storage that fits your space and quote it.

Tires Up, Floor Clear

Tires Up, Floor Clear

Rack runs and single-entry units hold tire sets by level, so a seasonal changeover pulls the right set without digging through a stack.

Beams and frame heights are chosen to your tire count and ceiling.

Covers Hung, Not Leaned

Covers Hung, Not Leaned

The wall-mounted bumper cover rack holds six pairs of supports in a 42 by 23 by 72 inch frame, rated at 300 lb depending on wall construction and anchoring. Anchors are not included.

Covers stay separated and off the floor until they are needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the rack and the tire size. The single-entry rack has three tire levels in a 60 inch wide unit, and the teardrop-frame tire racks are built to length from frames and beams. Send us your tire count and sizes and we will size the run.
A carousel makes sense when floor space is the constraint and you move a high volume of tires, because it stores them overhead and brings them to a pick window. Static racks cost less and suit most shops. We can quote both for your space.
It mounts to the wall. Its 300 lb rating depends on your wall construction and how it is anchored, and anchors are not included, so plan the mounting with whoever installs it.
Lead time is quoted per order, based on the racks and quantities you choose.
Usually, if the frames and beams match. Tell us the make and dimensions of what you have and we will confirm what fits.
