Machine Guarding Components

Posts, wire mesh panels, and door kits for extending, reconfiguring, or repairing an installed machine guarding system.

System Parts

Machine Guarding Components

These are the individual pieces a machine guarding system is built from, not standalone guards. Posts, wire mesh panels, and door kits belong here because most people looking for them already have guarding in place and need to add a bay, change a run, or replace a piece that took a hit.

A guarding run comes down to posts and panels. The posts set the spacing and carry the panels between them, and the mesh panels are the barrier itself. Door kits are how people and equipment get through the run: a hinged door swings and needs clearance to open, a sliding door travels along the run and is the usual answer where there is nothing to swing into.

If you are specifying an enclosure from scratch rather than adding to one, start on the Machine Guarding page and we will work back to the component list from there.

Matching Parts to an Existing Run

Adding or Replacing

Matching Parts to an Existing Run

Guarding components are system specific. Post spacing, panel size, and the mounting hardware have to match what is already standing or the new section will not line up with the old one. Send a photo of an existing post and panel connection along with the run you need, and we will work out the part list.

Doors are worth settling early. Swing clearance, cart width, and where people actually walk decide whether a hinged or a sliding kit belongs at an opening, and that is a much easier call before the run goes up than after.
