Hose & Cable Crossovers

Ramps, guards and cord protectors that carry hoses and cables across a traffic aisle instead of leaving them flat on the floor.

Crossing a Traffic Aisle With Hose and Cable

Any hose or power cable that has to cross an aisle is two problems at once. It trips people walking the route, and it gets flattened by the first wheel that finds it. A crossover solves both the same way: cover the run, ramp the edges, and let traffic roll over the top of it.

The range here spans three materials. Molded and extruded rubber covers cord and hose runs on shop floors. Urethane is the alternative where rubber gets chewed up. Extruded and fabricated aluminum holds its shape under the roughest crossings.

Shape matters as much as material. Straight protectors cover a long run. Articulating protectors bend around a corner instead of forcing the cord into a straight line. Multi-purpose ramps take curbs as well as hose and cable. A cable guard covers a line that needs roll-over protection and nothing more.

Two Questions Before You Order

Two Questions Before You Order

Start with what is crossing the aisle. How many lines, how big around, and how far the run goes. That sets the channel count and the length.

Then look at what rolls over it. Foot traffic, hand pallet jacks and powered lift trucks are not the same problem, and the material you pick follows from that answer more than anything else.
