Jib Crane for Machine Tool and Assembly Stations

A rotating boom crane used to lift and position loads within a fixed work envelope -- at a machine tool, welding bay, assembly station, or loading dock -- without the cost and footprint of a bridge crane. Jib cranes pair with a chain hoist or wire rope hoist riding a trolley along the boom, and the whole assembly rotates around a mast to sweep the load through an arc, typically 180° to 360° depending on mount type.

Choose a mount type sized to your building and foundation: wall-mounted (also called wall-bracket) jib cranes bolt directly to an existing building column or wall and need no floor foundation, while freestanding (foundation-mounted) jib cranes stand on their own base plate and footing and can be located anywhere on the floor, independent of building structure. Standard capacities run in increments from 250 lb up through 2000 lb for this range -- heavier-duty jib cranes are available up to 4000 lb and 5-ton but typically require a larger freestanding foundation and are quoted separately. Standard boom lengths run 10 ft to 20 ft, sized to the working radius needed at the station.
