Powered & Sortation Conveyors

Belt and roller powered conveyor for moving cartons, totes, and pallets on level runs and inclines, with control over speed, spacing, and accumulation. Built for longer transport lines and higher throughput than gravity alone.

Powered Conveying

Maximize Productivity with Deluxe Systems’ Powered Conveyors

Powered conveyor moves product on level runs and up grades where gravity will not do the work: longer transport lines, accumulation zones, and loads too heavy or too steady in pace for manual handling. Driving the rollers or belt gives you control over speed, spacing, and accumulation instead of relying on slope and a push.

Belt-driven and chain-driven live roller (CDLR) handle cartons, totes, and pallets. Motorized driven roller (MDR) breaks a line into zones for low-pressure accumulation on 24V control. Belt conveyor carries loose, small, or flat-bottomed items that will not track on rollers. Deluxe specs powered conveyor to load weight, package profile, and throughput.

Most lines tie into existing gravity sections, pick modules, and rack, so a powered segment can do the driven work while gravity handles the staging around it.

Belt-Driven or Modular Plastic Belt

How It Works

Belt-Driven or Modular Plastic Belt

Slider bed belt conveyors run a continuous fabric belt over a flat steel bed, the standard choice for cartons and general product moving in a straight line, with cleated versions available where product needs to climb an incline or hold position on the belt without sliding back. They're simple, quiet, and easy to service.

Modular plastic belt conveyors use interlocking plastic belt segments instead of fabric, a flat top surface for general product, or with flights (raised cross-ribs) for carrying product up an incline without cleats. Curved sections in flush grid plastic belt move product around a corner without a transfer point, useful where floor space won't allow a straight run. Belt style is chosen by product type and layout, not by default.

Applications

Where Powered Conveyors Fit

Distribution & Fulfillment

Sortation and singulation systems merge and separate parcel and carton flow ahead of scanning, weighing, or divert points: the backbone of a pick-pack-ship line moving at volume.

Manufacturing & Assembly

Accumulation conveyors buffer work-in-process between stations running at different speeds, and turntables and transfers move product around a line without a forklift crossing the floor.

Dock & Trailer Loading

Telescoping truckloaders extend into a trailer at the dock door, letting a crew load or unload cartons by belt instead of carrying them the length of the trailer by hand.

Why Powered Conveying

Product Keeps Moving, Without a Forklift

Automated & Efficient

Our systems minimize manual handling, thereby increasing productivity and ensuring a more efficient workflow. By integrating power conveyors into your operations, you can achieve a significant reduction in manual labor and an increase in operational speed.

Customizable Configurations

Available in diverse designs including belt conveyor systems, roller conveyors, and incline conveyors, our systems can be tailored to fit your specific application needs. Whether you’re handling light loads or heavy materials, our versatile configurations cater to all.

Heavy-Duty Construction

Built with robust materials, our powered conveyors are engineered for long-term industrial performance. They are designed to withstand the rigors of continuous use, ensuring reliability and durability in demanding environments.

Seamless Integration

Our conveyor systems easily connect with existing warehouse conveyor lines and gravity conveyors, optimizing your workflow. This integration facilitates smooth transportation of goods, enhancing overall system efficiency.

Accumulation & Sortation

Accumulation & Sortation

Accumulation conveyors sit between two stations that don't run at the same speed (a case packer that's faster than the palletizer behind it, for example), and hold product in a queue so neither station has to stop and wait on the other. It's the buffer that keeps a line running through normal speed variation.

Sortation and singulation systems handle the opposite problem: product arriving merged, several lanes wide or bunched together, that needs to become one unit at a time before it hits a scanner, scale, or divert point. Getting the singulation right upstream is what keeps a sortation system from jamming downstream.

Transfers, Turntables & Truckloading

Transfers, Turntables & Truckloading

Indexing powered turntables and ball transfer units change a load's direction on the line (rotating a pallet or carton, or shifting it from one conveyor line to a perpendicular one), without a forklift crossing the floor or an operator manually turning product by hand.

Telescoping truckloaders extend directly into a trailer at the dock door, letting a crew load or unload cartons onto a moving belt instead of walking them the length of the trailer. They retract for storage between shifts and adjust to reach different points inside the trailer as it fills.
