Walk Ramps

Portable aluminum ramps for hand trucks, pallet jacks, and foot traffic between uneven surfaces.

Walk Ramps

Walk Ramps

A walk ramp bridges a small height difference, a curb, a step, a trailer lip, so hand trucks, pallet jacks, wheelchairs, and foot traffic cross it without a jolt. Unlike a fixed dock leveler, a walk ramp is portable: light aluminum construction means one or two people move it wherever the height change actually is, then move it again tomorrow if the job changes.

Capacity and width are matched to what actually crosses it. A ramp rated for a two-wheeled hand truck is a different product than one rated for a loaded pallet jack, and the width has to clear the load, not just the wheels. Stock sizes cover most situations and ship fast; wider or higher-capacity options are available where the standard range doesn't fit.

Width and Capacity Scale Together

Sizing & Capacity

Width and Capacity Scale Together

Ramps run from narrow, single-wheel-track widths up to full pallet-jack widths, with load capacity rising alongside width and gauge. A 1,000 lb-rated ramp for occasional hand truck traffic is a different build than a 2,000 lb ramp meant for a pallet jack crossing it dozens of times a day.

Surface matters as much as capacity. Diamond-plate and grip-strut surfaces hold traction in wet or outdoor conditions; smooth aluminum is lighter and easier to reposition indoors. We match the surface to where the ramp actually lives, not just the load crossing it.

Applications

Where Walk Ramps Get Used

Trailer & Container Loading

Bridges the gap between a trailer bed and the ground or dock, so hand trucks and pallet jacks cross without catching a lip or edge.

Curb & Step Access

Closes a curb or single step at a loading area, warehouse entrance, or between uneven floor sections without a permanent construction change.

ADA & Wheelchair Access

Portable ramps provide access at entrances and loading areas without a poured concrete ramp or permanent modification.

Why Aluminum

Light enough to move, strong enough to trust

Portable, Not Permanent

Light enough for one or two people to reposition, so the ramp goes where the height change is instead of building the dock around a fixed one.

Sized to the Load

Width and capacity are matched to what crosses it (hand truck, pallet jack, or foot traffic), not a one-size-fits-all plate.

Traction Where It's Needed

Diamond-plate and grip-strut surface options hold footing in wet, outdoor, or high-traffic conditions.

Move It Where the Gap Is

Move It Where the Gap Is

A fixed ramp or leveler only helps at the one spot it's built. A walk ramp goes wherever the height change actually is today (a different trailer, a different door, a temporary setup), and moves again tomorrow if the job changes.

That flexibility is why walk ramps show up everywhere from loading docks to retail stockrooms to event setups: any place a curb, step, or trailer lip needs to disappear for an afternoon or permanently, without construction.

Built for What Crosses It

Built for What Crosses It

Width, capacity, and surface are specified to the actual load: a narrow ramp for hand trucks doesn't need the same rating or width as one built for a pallet jack running back and forth all shift.

Diamond-plate and grip-strut surfaces add real traction where wet weather or outdoor exposure make a smooth aluminum surface a slip risk.

Frequently Asked Questions

A dock leveler is a fixed, permanently installed piece of equipment built into the dock itself. A walk ramp is portable: light enough to move by hand and reposition wherever a height change is, without any installation.
Match it to what crosses the ramp. A hand truck and a couple of cartons needs far less than a loaded pallet jack crossing repeatedly through the day. Tell us your typical load and we'll confirm the right width and capacity.
Yes: diamond-plate and grip-strut surface options are built for wet and outdoor conditions. If the ramp lives outside permanently, mention it and we'll steer you to the right surface.
Yes. Stock sizes cover most situations and ship fastest, but custom widths and higher capacities are available when the standard range doesn't fit your load or opening.
