Dock Seals & Shelters

Dock seals and shelters that close the gap between the trailer and the building during loading.

Dock Seals & Shelters

Dock Seals and Shelters for Loading Dock Openings

An open dock door with a trailer backed up to it still leaves gaps at the top and sides. Wind, rain, snow, dust, and outside air come through those gaps the whole time the trailer is loading, and conditioned air goes out the same way. Dock seals and shelters close that gap.

This collection covers foam compression dock seals, flap-style dock shelters, a retractable shelter, seal and shelter combinations, draft blockers and draft mats for the gaps around a dock leveler, and vinyl strip doors for openings that stay in constant use.

Seal or Shelter

Match the Product to Your Trailers and Your Door

A dock seal is a foam pad that the trailer compresses as it backs in, sealing tight against the trailer body. A dock shelter uses flexible flaps that seal along the top and sides and leaves the full trailer opening clear. Combinations put side compression seals under a sloped shelter header for weather protection and water runoff at the top of the door.

Dock seals are custom and non-returnable, sized to your door opening and projection depth, so a dock survey is recommended before ordering. Send us the door width and height, the trailer types you receive, and photos of the dock face, and we will recommend the product and size.

What Is in This Collection

Dock Seals

Three-piece foam pads with nylon-reinforced vinyl facing on treated wood, with air escape tunnels so the pads compress properly.

Dock Shelters

Flap-style shelters for openings up to 10 by 10 feet, and a retractable shelter for openings up to 120 by 120 inches.

Gap Closers

Draft blockers and draft mats that close the gaps between the seal and the dock leveler that a seal alone cannot cover.

Built In

Details That Matter at the Dock

Air Relief

Dock seals and combinations have built-in air escape tunnels or relief channels, so the foam compresses properly when a trailer backs in.

Retracts on Impact

The retractable shelter uses independent manual scissor mechanisms that retract as trailers back in, without rigid steel guide protectors.

Sized to the Door

Dock seals are ordered by door opening size and projection depth, and combinations come in projection depths of 10 to 20 inches.

Send us your door width, height, trailer types, and photos of the dock face.

We will recommend the seal, shelter, or combination that fits and quote it to your dimensions.

Sealed Tight Against the Trailer

Sealed Tight Against the Trailer

Dock seals compress against the trailer body on the sides and top, blocking wind, rain, snow, dust, and insects while the trailer is loaded.

Wear pleats, guide stripes, armor pleats, and heavier facing materials are optional.

Close the Gaps at the Leveler

Close the Gaps at the Leveler

Draft blockers and draft mats cover the openings a dock seal leaves around the dock leveler.

Both are portable, with carrying handles, so they can be placed and removed as trailers come and go.
