Steel Safety Bollard
Configure this unit
A fixed-position steel pipe bollard used to protect racking, building corners, dock doors, columns, equipment, and pedestrian walkways from forklift and vehicle impact. Bollards are typically Schedule 40 steel pipe, concrete-filled for impact mass, and finished in safety yellow. They are set in a concrete footing (fixed/embedded) or bolted to a surface-mount baseplate (removable/fold-down) depending on whether the location needs to be periodically cleared for equipment access.
Choose a pipe diameter sized to the impact risk -- 4" is common for light pedestrian and low-speed forklift areas, 6" is the standard warehouse and dock-door choice, and 8" is used for higher-speed vehicle traffic or higher-value asset protection. Height above grade typically runs 36" to 42", matched to the equipment and vehicle bumper heights being guarded against. Fixed/embedded mounting gives maximum impact resistance for permanent protection; removable and fold-down mounting is used where the bollard needs to come down or lay flat for occasional forklift, truck, or trailer access through the same opening.
This is a generic specification template, not a priced catalog SKU. Exact pricing depends on pipe wall thickness/schedule, concrete fill, baseplate and anchor hardware, finish (powder coat vs. reflective sleeve), and any chain, rail, or cover accessories -- all quoted per project.
