DEA Drug Storage Cages
WireCrafters Style 840 Partitions, when properly installed, meet the DEA’s physical security requirements for storing Schedule III through V controlled substances, as outlined in Title 21 CFR Sections 1301.72–1301.76. These cages are ideal for pharmacies, medical facilities, pharmaceutical companies, distribution centers, and drug warehouses.
Each DEA-compliant cage features self-closing, self-locking doors and is constructed with 10-gauge, 2″ x 1″ wire mesh panels for walls and ceilings. The 2″ square steel support posts are spaced no more than 10 feet apart and include welded base plates for floor anchoring. Wall panels include horizontal reinforcements of at least 1-1/2″ every 5 feet and mount flush to the floor. Heavy-duty 3/8″ mounting hardware is used and is fully inaccessible from the exterior. Panels are stackable to any height, and ceiling systems can span up to 30 feet, providing a scalable solution for secure storage.
