Risers \u0026amp; Tread: IBC stairs typically have a 7\" closed riser and an 11\" tread. Stair Width: IBC stairs are a minimum of 36\" wide in most cases. Railings and Guardrail: IBC stairs require rails 42\" high and handrails 34\" high on both sides of the stairwell.
